First African Baptist Church

The First African Baptist Church was constituted in December of 1777. Under Reverend Andrew C. Marshall, the congregation obtained the property where it stands today and started the first African American Sunday School in North America. This beautiful, historical sanctuary still contains many of it's original historical elements, such as the baptismal pool, pews and the pipe organ. Known as part of the Underground Railroad, this Church is a registered historic landmark.

Juliette Gordon Low's Birthplace

Enjoy a guided tour of the authentically furnished Gordon Family home as it appeared in 1886. The birthplace of Juliette Gordon Low was Savannah's first registered historic landmark and it continues to be an educational and exciting attraction that draws many to Savannah.

Forsyth Park

Forsyth Park was originally named Forsyth Place. As a portion of the original lands of the colonial Savannah Gardens, Forsyth Park offers the perfect place for a stroll, jog or photography session. The park is named for John Forsyth, a previous Georgia Governor.  While you're there, stroll through the trees lined with Spanish moss and visit the Forsyth Park Fountain, built to resemble the fountain in Paris at the Place de la Concorde.

Tybee Island

Explore this beautiful barrier island on the Georgia Coast, just 20 minutes east of Savannah. Drive through wide sky and salt marshes to find Tybee Island, complete with miles of beaches, forts, museums and kayaks and bikes to rent. Skidaway Island State Park

Located near our Historic Savannah hotel, Skidaway Island Park borders Skidaway Narrows, a part of Georgia's intracoastal waterway. Encompassing 520 scenic areas, this park includes camping and picnicking surrounded by live oaks draped with Spanish moss.  Walk trails through maritime forest and salt marshes, climb the observation tower to watch for wildlife or head to the interpretive learning center for natural and cultural exhibits.

The Pirate's House

Since 1753, The Pirate's House has been serving up a bounty of delicious food, drink and good times. When it first opened The Pirate's House was an inn for seafarers, but it quickly became a rendezvous spot for pirates and sailors.
